There're two songs which we've set to stream for your listening pleasure while you navigate our site (your probably listening to them right now!): "Don't Go Outside" a song Mark wrote about the times; the genral concept of 'if you stay indoors and shut yourself off from the world you can't get hurt'.  Also, "the Nancy Breaux Two-Step", written by Leah, is one of our favorite songs to play live because of the lyrics (we do it a capella) the super-cool groove, and the audience participation.  Sing along, y'all!!!

Both songs appear on our new CD.
Enjoy!

"WALK ON MARS" ©2005 Mark Bosnian

I don’t want lots of money
I don’t need the fame
I don’t care if no one remembers my name

I wanna walk on Mars
Feel that red earth beneath my feet
I want to stand in open spaces
Before they turn to houses and streets

It won’t be too much longer
There’s no place left to grow
Out of time and out of space with nowhere to go

I wanna walk on Mars
Feel that red earth beneath my feet
See canals and polar ice caps
Before they bring the serious heat

Don’t talk of slowing progress
Can’t stop the forward march
Ignore a distant shore and risk not leaving your mark

I wanna walk on Mars
Feel that red earth beneath my feet
A new frontier is calling
All I want is a front row seat

"RUb SOMe FUNk On 'DAt"   Lyrics ©2005 Mark Bosnian

It starts out late at night
With a pain like a rattlesnake bite
And then you can’t remember what you were gonna do
It never feels like much at first
Then comes the hunger and the thirst
You got a serious cravin’ for some Voodo B-B-Que

You been bitten by a wicked bug
Hard to shake when it’s in the blood
You gonna start a-movin,
Gris-gris gumbo groovin’
Losin’ it all over the place
You gonna start to scream and shout
You gonna end up wiggin’ out
The line between what’s real and what’s not
Goes slippin’ out the back

CHORUS:
You better rub some funk on 'dat
It’s gonna get nasty if you don’t
You can’t fight this kinda thing all by yourself
You better rub some funk on 'dat
Before it seeps into your bones
There’s only one thing that will help--
Rub some funk on 'dat

Crazy rhythm in your feet
Hard to walk this one way street
The full moon fever’s wrapped you in a shroud
Too late to turn around
Once you hear that sound
Ain’t no doctor in the world can save you now

You been infected with a serious bout
Disected from the inside out
You gonna start a-movin,
Gris-gris gumbo groovin’
Losin’ it all over the place
You gonna feel your mouth go dry
Gonna gasp for breath, gonna howl at the sky
A black cat crossed your trail and now
The monkey’s on your back

CHORUS

I know
You can see
Mystical visions happening in your head
And now you
Found out you can fly
When you come
Down
You are gonna
Need an
Extra shot of
Good ol’
Mother Nature’s little
Helper

“Don’t Go Outside” Lyrics ©2004 Mark Bosnian

I don’t mind--if you can’t see through the windows anymore
It don’t really matter--if nobody ever comes up on the porch
Let’s stay here inside--we can hold out for a long, long time
If we close our eyes real tight--we may never be the victim of a crime

CHORUS:
Don’t go outside
Don’t open the door
Don’t go outside
You don’t know what you’ll find
Don’t go outside
Do you really want to go there?
Don’t go outside
It may not be the place to be
Don’t go outside
You won’t like what you see
Don’t go outside
Don’t want to be too disappointed
You don’t want to go outside

I don’t know--but I heard a noise and think I saw a light
Check those locks again--we don’t want someone to take us by surprise
Change the message on the phone--in case somebody calls to see if we left town
Turn the music up real loud--try to scare off anybody hangin’ ‘round

CHORUS

I can see--there is definitely someone in the street
Step away from the door--I don’t think it’s anybody we should meet
Turn on all the lights--there is still a chance that they’ll leave us alone
If we play our cards just right--we will never have to leave our happy home

CHORUS
